(CBS4) — AMC Theatres has pushed back its reopening date to July 30, after some big films pushed back their release dates.
“Tenet” was scheduled to debut worldwide on July 17 and “Mulan” was scheduled to hit theaters July 24. Now, “Tenet” is being released on Aug. 12 and “Mulan” will come out on Aug.21.
They had planned to open most theaters on July 15. Now, the company says it will reopen 450 of their 600 theaters in the U.S. on July 30. AMC has about a dozen theaters in the Denver metro area.
A news release states that the company is hoping to be fully operational by early August — “Barring further complications from the coronavirus outbreak.”
“We continue to devote extraordinary resources into our plan to operate our theatres with a hyper commitment to the safety and health of our guests and associates,” CEO and President Adam Aron stated.
AMC announced that it would require customers to wear masks, after facing criticism for initially saying masks would not be required.
The chain’s U.S. locations have been shut down since March 17 due to the coronavirus pandemic.

New Apocalypse date, now coming in December
Curious: New date for the end of the world. There seems to be a new date for the vaunted end of the world. The previous predictions were wrong … hopefully this too.
During the year 2020 we have experienced so many things during the first half of the year, that by now we are all exhausted. We thought that the apocalypse was coming in June, but it seems that the date was wrong because there is another new date for the end of the world.
If you have already relaxed, be alert again.
The truth is that this year he has been giving clues that feed the grass of the prophets and fortune tellers. We don’t get out of a pandemic when another one comes.
We are dealing with the coronavirus as best we can and we are already seeing a new swine fever.
What have we done to whom we have been scared for six months?
Well it’s not over.
A Mayan prophecy indicated that December 21, 2012 was all over, but it never happened. So, we leave December 21 as a date to start winter until this evangelical pastor came to startle us again indicating that the date to be scheduled for the apocalypse is, in fact, December 21, 2020.
The pastor is named Paul Begley, and, unfortunately, he realized that there is an 8 year difference between the old Julian calendar, which they used in ancient times, and the Gregorian calendar (which is the one we use every day now).
So, if the difference is 8 years, and we add them to the Mayan prophecy … it turns out that the end of the world is this December 21. In other words, in 2012 we all got scared for no reason.
“The end of the world is going to be on December 21 of this year, when Jupiter and Saturn are only 0.1 degrees from each other, a very bright star will form, the brightest since the star of Bethlehem. This date coincides with the winter solstice in the northern hemisphere, ”explains Begley.
The bad luck of the evangelical pastor is that the world will just end on his birthday.

The thing about the winter solstice and the phenomenon of the planets being very close to each other is true and science explains it.
That Begley’s birthday is the same day, we believe it if he says so.
But the end of the world … well, he said earlier that it was on other dates and it did not happen, although it is better to prepare for the worst and hope for the best.
What do you think of all these omens of apocalypse in such a short time? Could it be that the pandemic and everything that happens are accurate warnings and Begley is right? Could it be that all this of COVID-19 has us a little out of mind? Is it pure trickery?
