In Variety’s series of celeb on celeb interviews, the latest names were Hugh Jackman and Anne Hathway. The two stars had a lot to talk about. They have featured together in the Oscar-nominated Les Misérables, for which, apparently, Hugh had said after first rehearsal that Anne will win an Academy Award.

And she did win. They have also worked with Christopher Nolan and shared anecdotes about his sets, which has a no cellphones and no chairs rule. And, very importantly, they talked about Modern Love with each other. In the anthology show, Anne played the role of a woman suffering from bipolar disorder.

Hugh praised Anne’s performance in the episode and added that his wife also loved it. “I do know someone who has bipolar; I never really talked to them in depth, and I’m sure there’s a lot of people like me who are going to watch your episode of “Modern Love.” I finished — both Deb and I just went, “Oh, that’s what it’s like.” It’s that immediate and that debilitating way that within a minute, you’re in bed, and then you’re there for three days,” he said.

Anne responded, “One of the things that I learned after the episode aired was like me, like you, everyone has someone in their life that has either bipolar or something else — something that requires a little more space and education. That’s the thing that I can never understand: If we all love someone, why on Earth are there stigmas about it? A lot of people told me that this episode gave them an opportunity to talk about it.” ‘Modern Love’ Season 2: Anne Hathaway Returns to Amazon Studios Anthology Series.

Anne added, “It’s not up to people who are already working so hard just to live to make space for themselves — it has to be the rest of us. We really need more representation of mental health in art if a 32-minute episode of a rom-com anthology is speaking to this issue and making people feel seen in a way that they never have been before.”

For her role, Anne spoke to Terri Cheney, the woman whose story the episode is based on.

Like Hugh, Anne also revealed that she knows someone in her life who has next to no representation on the screen. “What led me to this character, and led me to want to say yes to this, was because I just wanted to show this person that I love them, and that I believe that they are worthy of love,” the actress said.

World’s loneliest woman at risk of coronavirus after glam influencer hires chopper for trip to ‘hug’ her at remote home

THE world’s loneliest hermit could contract coronavirus after a selfish influencer flew to her remote home by chopper to “hug” her.

There are now serious health fears for Agafya Lykova, 76, who lives like an 18th century peasant in the Siberian wilderness, 150 miles from the nearest small town.

Controversial travel blogger Arina Shumakova is accused of flouting safety measures and flying in with her team by helicopter to “hug” Agafya.

She now faces legal action over her unauthorised jaunt into the Siberian outpost.

Agafya Lykova is a Russian icon as she is the last survivor of a family who in 1936 fled into the forest where she was born, to avoid religious persecution under Stalin.

They remained undetected by the Soviet authorities for more than 40 years until their remote homestead - where Agafya still lives - was spotted from the air by Soviet geologists.

Huge efforts are made by Russian officials - who occasionally check on her - to ensure they do not pass on modern-day diseases to a woman who has had minimal contact with civilisation.

Shumakova has been accused of visiting the elderly hermit after "simply ignoring all the legal requirements,” said a spokesman.

Director of Khakassky Nature Reserve Viktor Nepomnyashchy said she flouted “moral, ethical and theological” norms.

He works for the nature reserve in remote Khakassia where Agafya lives in the tumbledown shack built by her dad, despite winter temperatures as low as minus 45C.

The spokesman added: “We asked the blogger to provide negative Covid-19 tests.”

But, despite the request to protect the woman's health, the social media star who boasts two million followers did not do so and also failed to wear a proper face mask during her visit.

“We are now very worried for Agafya,” said Nepomnyashchy.

Shumakova and her pilot flouted warnings and “grossly violated the flight rules, failed to use PPE, and shot videos and photos without a permit,” he said.

A lawsuit has been filed against the blogger and her pilot.

Agafya's dad and brothers died after they were found and visited in their remote forest shack in 1978 - three decades after fleeing Stalin’s repressions.

It is believed their lack of immunity to modern diseases was a key factor.

Shumakova, 41, claimed the hermit was happy to see her.

She said: “The pilot strictly prohibited us even to touch Agafya.

“But when we were leaving, I told her, 'Agafya, I want to give you a hug so much, but I was prohibited.'

“And she told me, 'We can hug, he (the pilot) can't see'."

Shumakova added: “I want to scream that I have seen Agafya with my own eyes.

“This is some sort of a dream.”

There were allegations that she did not specify how the money was spent.
