    According to highway patrol in Florida, in the morning, at approximately 830 a man discovered, on the edge of I95 in the southern direction, the body of a lifeless woman. The man had stopped at the edge of the highway, disagreeing with the authorities, because his car had broken down. This occurred at mile 127 between the Okeechobee midway rd exits and in St Lucie County. The man immediately called the authorities and it was highway patrol who arrived on the scene first.     MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Authorities in Polk County say one person was killed in a single-vehicle crash involving a semi Monday afternoon. According to the sheriff’s office, emergency crews responded around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Polk County Road 10 and 405th Street SE. There, officials say a semi was in the ditch and fully engulfed in flames when deputies arrived.     A Fridley woman died in a motorcycle crash in Carver County this past weekend, officials say. The woman was traveling south on County Road 40 near 188th Street Sunday when she apparently lost control of her motorcycle, a witness told investigators. She travelled off the road into a ditch, and struck a power line utility pole. The Carver County sheriff’s office responded to the 911 call at 3:23 p.m. Deputies found the motorcyclist had sustained injuries from the crash. Laura Loge, 48, died at the scene. Douglas County Sheriff Dan Coverley posted the letter after the Douglas County Public Library considered publishing a statement in support of diversity and inclusion.     SACRAMENTO (CBS13) — A man shot and killed a woman while she was driving him and four young children on River Road Monday night, officials said. According to a press release from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office, detectives believe 27-year-old Mandiko Kwadzo was in the vehicle and shot the woman while she was driving, causing her to veer off the road and into the river. A citizen saw the vehicle partially submerged in the 8700 block of River Road and called the sheriff’s department around 9:30 p.m. The citizen also helped four children and Kwadzo out of the vehicle. The sheriff’s office says scammers claim to be with residents’ power companies and claim electricity will be shut off unless payments are made. The name of residents’ power companies may even show up on caller ID, the sheriff’s office says.     A Gilroy man died Friday night after California Highway Patrol officers found him burning in a fire on the side of Highway 101. California Highway Patrol officers responded shortly before 3 a.m. Friday to Sargent Crossing and Highway 101 after a fire was reported on the side of the road. They found a man’s body and called sheriff’s deputies. The man was transported in critical condition with severe burns to the Santa Clara County Valley Medical Center Trauma Unit. He succumbed to his injuries just before midnight Saturday. He was later identified as 40-year-old Gilroy resident Jerry Mungaray III.     MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — Authorities in Crow Wing County say a 51-year-old man is in custody in connection to an armed robbery at the Deerwood Bank in Garrison last Friday. The suspect was arrested on Monday at a residence in Andover. He was previously convicted for the armed robbery of the same bank in 2007. Officials say the suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money and was allegedly picked up by another individual driving a white sedan type vehicle. An autopsy showed Kyron Hinton died in February 2019 of cocaine toxicity and a neck injury that might indicate homicide. Dieringer, a 30-year-old from Pueblo, is suspected of killing his roommate’s two dogs.     A 7-year-old was shot in the leg Monday afternoon while playing basketball at a Frederick County, Maryland, park. It happened around 12:20 p.m. along South Church Street in Middletown, according to the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office. The boy was taken by helicopter to Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, where he’s reportedly in stable condition. Based on initial findings, investigators believe the boy was not targeted, and that the shot came from some distance away.
