The South Florida Sun Sentinel reported that the unidentified man climbed onto the hood Saturday after stopping his vehicle along Florida's Turnpike and walking out onto the highway. The Florida Highway Patrol says the tractor-trailer driver continued on down the road as the man clung to the hood and began pounding on the windshield with his fists and his forehead.     MIAMI (AP) — A pet dog that jumped out of a car window on a South Carolina highway has been found two weeks later, nearly 600 miles (966 kilometers) away in Miami, according to a relative of the owner. The dog named Belle escaped from the moving car near Charleston on July 15, according to Tim Whitfield, whose 90-year-old mother owns Belle. Whitfield put out a call for help on Facebook at the time and said that he bought the puppy for his mother after her dog of 16 years recently died. John David Cole, 46, of Biloxi, was charged Sunday with one felony count of leaving the scene of an accident causing death, news outlets reported. Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers responded to a crash Sunday around 2 a.m. and found a deceased man lying in the roadway. The boy was driving a Kawasaki Teryx4 at about 8 p.m. Saturday in Dade City when it overturned in a grassy field.
