Darrell Johnson was arrested Sunday in the city's South Side for the death of Janari Ricks, an honor roll student who was slated to begin the fourth grade. Authorities said Ricks was playing with friends in a courtyard Friday near the Cabrini-Green housing project when Johnson fired six shots from a nearby alley.     SAN ANTONIO – The Bexar County Medical Examiner’s office identified the 17-year-old victim killed in an apparent ambush shooting outside of his North Side home. The victim was identified as 17-year-old Darnilio Garza. Garza was found by police around 4:30 a.m. with a gunshot wound in the front yard of his residence in the 7600 block of McCullough Avenue, near Oblate Drive. The teen had walked out of the house to meet with three friends, but one of them ambushed him and shot him in the head, police said. Garza was pronounced dead at the scene.     SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating what led to a rollover crash on the city’s North Side overnight. The crash happened around 4 a.m. near Thousand Oaks Drive and Jones Maltsberger Road. Authorities said a man was driving an SUV while speeding before he lost control of the vehicle. The vehicle rolled several times and landed near a marquee, in front of a CVS Pharmacy. The driver had minor injuries and was checked by EMS at the scene, according to police.
