    Nearly half of the prison population at the Tucson Whetstone Unit have tested positive for COVID-19, according to the Arizona Department of Corrections, Rehabilitation and Reentry (ADCRR). The department issued a statement on Tuesday announcing that 517 inmates tested positive.     LANSING, Mich. (AP) — A Lansing-area state lawmaker has tested positive for the coronavirus through screening required by his service in the Michigan Army National Guard. Republican Sen. Tom Barrett, of Charlotte, said he was told the results Sunday afternoon after being tested Friday. The 39-year-old said he was tested because the guard implemented a COVID-19 screening policy for all soldiers one week before they are to depart for training events.     (CNN)Georgia's largest school district has confirmed that around 260 employees have either tested positive for Covid-19 or have been exposed.The Gwinnett County School District (GCPS) employees won't be returning to school just yet as districts across the country continue to adjust their back-to-school plans to prevent the spread of the virus. Pederson is "asymptomatic and doing well," the Eagles' statement read. He is in self-quarantine and in communication with the team's medical staff.
